Documents needed to import a car

The paperwork is simpler than it seems — and in a turnkey service we handle it for you. Here's the list of what's needed.

For the vehicle

Certificate of conformity (COC), the registration/ownership document from the country of origin, and the invoice or purchase contract.

For the buyer

Identification document, NIF (tax number) and proof of address in Portugal for the registration.

For the process in Portugal

Customs Vehicle Declaration (for the ISV), inspection sheet (IPO) and licence-plate application. We handle all of this part for you.
